Stan George earned baccalaureate degrees in both music performance and music education and a Master Degree in Music Performance, all from The College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University. He has performed professionally for the past 30 years, appearing with such artists as Steve Allen, Slide Hampton, Joel Grey, Nancy Wilson, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Ben Folds and Queen Latifa. Stan has toured the United States and Europe with a variety of groups and ensembles, including the chamber ensemble Sax 4th Avenue and the highly progressive and experimental band, Proof of Utah. In addition, he has had solo appearances with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra after winning its Young Artist Concerto Competition. 

 

Stan was a member of the Air Force's Ohio Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes for over 20 years, where he served as its First Sergeant, and is currently a music teacher at Perrysburg Schools and maintains a private studio.  He currently plays in the Hepcat Revival, Swingmania and makes guest appearances with several other area ensembles.
