Rebecca Mansel is a native of Ney, Ohio and grew up in a large farming family that valued singing and making music at home and church. Her mother taught the family all to harmonize around the kitchen table during seemingly tedious stints of shelling peas and husking corn from her massive garden. Family birthdays still include the birthday song sung in four-part harmony. 

 

A passionate singer since an early age, she found her love of theater in high school. However, she set aside performing to obtain a BA in psychology at Miami University.  She then was married, moved to Australia, and started a family. Twenty-five years later theater beckoned again, and in 2015 she auditioned for the Fort Defiance Players and have since been blessed to work with an array of amazing local talent. 

 

Rebecca recently joined "Siberian Solstice" a Trans- Siberian Orchestra tribute band performing as lead vocalist at Christmas time,  CC Machine, and also Soundskape-Entertainment’s own Steely Dan tribute band, “The Dans”.
