Greg Pflugh

Greg Pflugh is a saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist originally from the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from Youngstown State University, and his career in music has taken him to 34 countries across five continents while performing for hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.

While in college, Greg was employed as a saxophonist and bass guitarist at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio (2002–2004). There, he performed in three internationally award-winning productions recognized by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). Following his collegiate studies, he embarked on his first touring opportunity as a saxophonist, assistant road manager, and audio engineer for the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra (2004–2008). He can be heard on their album, Steppin’ Out, which was recorded live on XM Radio in 2005. After leaving the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Greg continued his career as a showband musician aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines, performing on saxophone and woodwinds while traveling to destinations in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

Since 2009, Greg has served as an active-duty military musician with the United States Air Force. He is currently stationed with the USAF Band of Flight at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. His previous assignments include the USAF Heartland of America Band at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and eight years overseas with the USAF Band of the Pacific in Tokyo, Japan. Greg has also deployed twice to the Middle East, using music to promote troop morale, strengthen diplomacy, and support U.S. coalition partners and embassies throughout the U.S. Central Command region.

Throughout his career, Greg has shared the stage with renowned acts such as The Temptations, The Fabulous Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, and the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, among others. He has opened for headlining acts such as Blue Öyster Cult, Survivor, The Wailers, Take 6, Bobby Kimball & Bill Champlain (of Toto & Chicago), and has performed with six symphony orchestras across the United States and Canada.
